It has been very busy at our Nursery 🙂
We have been learning lots of new skills while having great fun along the way!
Last week babies have done some sticking, after one of our friends collected lots of sticks on their way to nursery. We then used them to decorate a hedgehog and have drawn up a bear ready to paint next week, to be part of our new display ‘Autumn/hibernating animals.
If babies could please find 5 colourful leaves each on their way to nursery next week so we can continue with our Autumnal theme and do some leaf printing and sticking.
Last week in Toddler room we explored mark making using lots of different mediums we also had fun sorting out all the toys in toddler room and grouping them in the correct boxes. We also had fun with Theatre bugs on Tuesday afternoon.
Enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning….
Pre-school: Pre- School and Nursery class had a fun filled week this week. We read ‘Little Rabbit Foo Foo’ several times and now the children are learning who the main characters are, can repeat familiar phrases from the story and have joined in with a discussion to see what better choices Rabbit Foo-Foo could have made. Children joined in with sticky kids warm up song and were able to follow the instructions given, for example ‘can you stretch up tall’. During theatre bugs this week the children learnt about farm animals and where they live. Throughout the week, some children have drawn self-portraits and some children have engaged in role play ‘at the shop’, learning new vocabulary along the way, such as ‘how much will that cost, 1p, 2p and £1’.
